So, what is vanilla pudding? It is basically thick egg- based custard made with only few ingredients which are milk, whipping cream, eggs, sugar, corn starch, butter and vanilla extract. I am sure, these are easily available in your pantry.
In a bowl, add egg yok, corn starch and milk. Whisk it until smooth.
In heavy bottom pan, add remaining milk, sugar and heat it until sugar is melted.
Remove from gas. Take some milk and slowly add to egg yolk, corn starch mixture.
Now add this egg mixture back in steamed milk/sugar.
Cook on medium heat until it is thick.
Remove from heat and add vanilla extract, unsalted butter and salt. Mix it well.
Transfer to bowl, cover it with plastic wrap. Keep in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight.
Remove from fridge and Stir it with spatula once.
Now serve in serving bowl.
Decorate with raspberry or whipping cream or blackberry and serve chilled.
