Are you convinced now that this is the best Mars cheesecake with it's luscious filling, crunchy base, and amazing topping of Mars bar?
I have provided detailed step-by-step instructions for preparing the recipe below, but let's first go over the major steps.
Sr. No. | Steps |
1 | Create cheesecake base. |
2 | Prepare the filling ana ganache. |
3 | Assemble, use topping, chill and serve. |
Oreo cookies - Use Oreo cookies or any other chocolate cookies. I would not recommend using graham crackers or digestive because the chocolate cookies would pair well with this Mars cheesecake.
Butter - Use either salted or unsalted, depending on what is available in the pantry. If you use unsalted then I suggest adding a tiny pinch of salt.
Cream cheese - Cream cheese is the main ingredient in any cheesecake recipe and Mars bar cheesecake is no exception. This gives the cheesecake a smooth and creamy texture, so I recommend using full-fat cream cheese. In addition, it also adds a slight tanginess that suits sweet chocolate or caramel.
Icing sugar - This blends well while making no-bake cheesecake, providing a smooth mouthfeel without any graininess. You can use store-bought icing sugar or make your own icing sugar at home.
Whipping cream - T add creaminess and structure to this no-bake cheesecake, use full fat (35 %) whipping cream rather than half-n-half cream.
Milk chocolate - Usually I prefer to use dark chocolate in my desserts, but today, I am using milk chocolate to compliment the Mars cheesecake flavor. Also, it will balance the tanginess of cream cheese, giving us the perfect bite.
Salted caramel - This is used to replicate the flavors of Mars bar. You can use store-bought caramel sauce or make homemade salted caramel.
Dark chocolate - This is required to make chocolate ganache and what is better than dark chocolate :)
Whipping cream - This is also essential to make chocolate ganache. Use 35% whipping cream to make the rich ganache.
Mars pieces - As the name suggests, this is the main topping.
PS: This is just a list of ingredients required to make no-bake Mars cheesecake. Please refer to the recipe card below for exact measurements.
Icing sugar - I understand that you may want to enjoy this rich and creamy cheesecake guilt-free :) and you surely can. You can use any sugar-free substitute which can be replaced in a 1:1 ratio. I recommend using erythritol after blending it into a fine powder, just like icing sugar. If you know of any alternatives to erythritol, please let me know in the comments below.
